The £1 blog - Week 1, introduction. Balance - 0.00

Hello and welcome to the £1 Blog, one mans insane attempt to make a million pounds. First off, My name is David Murphy of Barry, South Wales, United Kingdom, I’m 19 years of age. Now, straight to the point -

I have started this blog to catalog week by week my exploration into just how generous complete strangers can be towards another, complete stranger. I’m sure many of you readers have had the same conversation with friends or family:

“Imagine if a million people, all gave you £1. (or $2 if your from across the pond)”

Yeah? imagine that! A million people, who would other wise used that one British Pound Sterling on something mundane like a chocolate bar or arcade machine, instead gave you one almost insignificant amount of currency. Yet all these people who wouldn’t even miss there £1’s would contribute to changing your life completely, especially now the UK population will be hitting 65m by 2016! Thats a lot of£1’s.

We’ll thats what I’m going to find out! I’m going too see if you could really get complete strangers donating there spare change to me, in effort to be the man who really did get 1 million people to donate £1 each.Insane? yes! Never going to work? Most properly not. Worth a try? hell yea!

Give this man a pound

So follow the link below (this thing doesn’t seem to like me using buttons with fancy graphics) to donate £1 or what ever spare change you have. And if you see me in the street, i accept cash to!

Donate a pound via paypal!

And now a little about me:

Born, but hopefully not bred yet in South Wales, UK. I live a simple existence in the town of Barry where a strive day by day to fill my time with fun teenage antics, and ludicrous schemes. So of course when i got the idea for the blog how could i resist! I am currently unemployed after leaving my last job a few weeks ago for the sake of my own sanity, working in a supermarket can really diminish all hope you have in humanity.

hello mr murphy, if i thought that you would actually keep the donated pounds in your bank untill you got to a million pound i would donate, however i think that once it gets to ten pound or whatever so it is enough to draw out you will for a swift pint up the pub, therefore i am not really helping you become a millionaire i am helping you on your way to liver failure, total unawareness and a beer belly! xx
